Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullah,

As per the table below, we were still in need of $830.45, but a brother in Perth called tonight and said that he will cover what ever amount is remaining. Therefore this fundraising is now closed. Alhamdulillah.
We are yet to receive money from few brothers & sisters who have pledged - insha'Allah you will send it soon. Please note that all pledges have been included in the below calculations. 

We would like to sincerely thank all individuals and organisations who participated in this fundraising. Only $4120 is from organisations, the rest is from individuals. Masha'Allah.
We ask Allah (SWT) to accept from all contributors and bless them and their families with the best in this Life and in the Hereafter.
We also ask Allah (SWT) to reward all those who intended to donate, but couldn't for whatever reason.

* We would like to remind that the money raised (as per above) is to pay to the TV stations for purchasing the air time. The time brothers spend to get the programs ready and delivered to the stations in time is all fisabilillah. 
*In addition to the payments mentioned in the previous email, full payment (ie for series 1, 2 and 3) has bee done to C31-Adelaide.
* For now Consider Islam won't run in Perth because ACCESS31 has closed late last year. However, we have information that some other group or organisation has been given a 2 year trial license for running a Community TV station in Perth. We will look into this a later stage insha'Allah.

* Agreements for 2009 have been signed with C31-Adelaide, QCTV-Brisbane, C31-Melbourne and TVS-Sydney.
* Payments done for series 1 to QCTV-Brisbane and TVS-Sydney. More payments to follow as funds arrive insha'Allah.
* Full Payment (ie for series 1, 2 and 3) done to C31-Melbourne.
* Pending invoice from C31-Adelaide.
* The first series is going to start on 13th April in Sydney, on 19th April in Adelaide and Brisbane and on 7th May in Melbourne insha'Allah. 
* Our volunteers have commenced working on the programs for the series 1.

Just this weekend over 2K has been raised as follows:
* A brother from Brisbane pledged $500.
* A brother in Perth donated additional $500.
* A sister in Perth donated $300.
* Our food stall (organised by Sr. Hanan) at the Ballajura Harmony Week event raised $600. Food for this stall was cooked and contributed by numerous sisters and the Lebanese Bakery, Kewdale.
* Our DVD stall at Al-Hidayah Islamic school fete raised $250.

We ask Allah (SWT) to accept from one and all and bless them and their families with the best in this World and in the Hereafter.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Insha'Allah you and your families are in the best state of health and iman.

Last year we paid OzTam Pty Ltd to generate some stats for us. The figures they provided indicated that over 100,000 people watched Consider Islam during 2008. In the light of these figures and taking the interest and positive feedback from non-Muslims and Muslims during 2008 into consideration, we see no reason why we shouldn't continue with the program in 2009 inshallah. However, it is not going to happen without your financial assistance. A brief background of Consider Islam TV is available towards the end of this email. 

CONSIDER ISLAM TV 2009:
  a.. This year, we will be going for 3 series (i.e. 18 half hour episodes) each in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney inshallah. 
  b.. It is bit sad that the ACCESS31 station in Perth is not operating anymore so we won't be able to show our program in Perth until we find a good alternative inshallah.

CONSIDER ISLAM TV - BACKGROIUND:

* Consider Islam first went on TV in Perth during late 2004. Alhamdulillah.

* In 2005, we were able to extend the program to Adelaide and Brisbane. Alhamdulillah.

* In 2006, we were able to extend it to Melbourne, but our efforts for Sydney failed. Alhamdulillah.

* In 2007, we tried hard once again and were able to extend the program to Sydney as well. Alhamdulillah.

* In 2008, the program went smoothly on air in all 5 cities, except that the last series did not go on air in Perth because the ACCESS31 station has shut down.
