6. SEMINAR - IDEOLOGY OF JIHADISM: RENEWAL OF ISLAMIST DOCTRINES IN
THE MUSLIM WORLD.
The National Centre of Excellence for Islamic Studies has organised a
seminar regarding the difference of Islamic radicalism between Europe
and the Middle East. In Europe, the majority of the radicals are the
result of a migration based on rupture with the former communities, in

continuity, despite all the changes introduced by modernization, in
terms of ideology and Islamic radicalism as well as in terms of
disconnect between state and society. This seminar will focus on the
differences as well as the convergences between the two major
components of the Jihadist current.
